Monday again? I wish Monday was a human being that had a life span. Imagine Monday’s funeral day, everyone will be excited and happy don’t you think? It is cruel, but I know I would be elated.
For a good 30minutes, I kept wondering what to write to really start off the much dreaded day for my wonderful audience. I couldn’t come up with a good one, so I decided to write a poem that we would attempt to read the day that Monday finally decides to leave this earth. Put in a more harsh tone, the day that Monday dies. So here goes nothing. I titled it “Rest in Peace”
I assumed that you would live long
But alas, death demanded that you dance to her song
A song which we humans sing with sweet release
Monday has let the house for lease.
Death is known to bring a mourning
But yours has brought a new dawning
And though I know I should weep
I cannot but do back flips
As I march to the beat of Rest in peace
Dear Monday, please accept my goodbye kiss
The very thought of you gives me flu.
And boy am I glad to be rid of you
So come Monday, I will fear
The alarm rings out, but I do not care
Come Monday, in bed I lie
For we all know Monday did die.
I really hope that this spices up your Monday. Have an awesome week people. I love you.
